Founded Aspiring Capital Partners in 2023. Prior to this worked at Buckthorn Partners, a private equity firm investing in energy service and industrial businesses. Previously an investor with Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures in London, investing across the energy and water sectors in Europe, and started his investment career in the Principal Investment team at RHJI-backed Kleinwort Benson in 2011. Forbes qualified as a Chartered Accountant with EY in London and gained investment banking experience with energy specialists Simmons & Company.

Anthony Sage

Joined at the outset of Aspiring Capital Partners in 2023. Prior to this, Anthony had a successful 30-year career in banking with RBS then BNP Paribas, serving as Managing Director financing mid to large-cap businesses across Europe. A qualified Accountant, and in addition to ACP is an equity investor and board director in two private investments.

Former CEO and CFO of a UK energy transition investment business. Prior to this worked with Liberty Global Plc in a variety of executive and operational finance roles across the energy and telco sector, including CFO of Virgin Media B2B. Previously worked for Balfour Beatty Plc, focused on European and US infrastructure and associated services in executive finance and operational roles. Joined in spring 2026, having previously worked with Aspiring Capital in an advisory capacity.
